This is the process of harvesting the raw material (cane stems) that the company’s plantations have generated in the plant and ratoon cycle during a period of 12 months. 95% of the harvest is executed mechanically. For this purpose, designed machines are used to cut the stem of cane into small pieces, clean it of foreign matter with the use of extractors and deposit it in dump carts. The dump carts leave the lot and deposit the cane in carts with capacity up to 40 tons and are transferred for weighing and sampling in Core Sampler for analysis of sugar and foreign matter. Then the cane is deposited in the factory receiving table and starts the production process of sugar and alcohol.
